So what's the catch? I don't know either. I've noticed that Super Junior fans or SM Entertainment fans in general, have also become EXO fans ever since they debuted. It's probably because they're in the same age group as SJ or because they look like lovechilds of their favorite pairings (?), I guess I'll never know. I just don't get it. And that's not saying that they're not talented or anything, I haven't really individually rated them yet because really have no interest in them, so I won't bash. But, I don't know. I'm usually not as picky, but EXO is not on my K-Pop listen list at all.

Let's talk about their debut single MAMA. To be perfectly honest, when I first heard the song my initial thought was: "This should have been DBSK's comeback song when they're together again." Yes, you read right. I think it's meant for DBSK. I can totally picture them singing it and dancing to it too. And dayum, they could have rocked it! With perfect choreography and Chang Min's high pitch, it would have been AMAZEBALLS. Even watching the music video reminded me of DBSK. All I saw was DBSK, sad to say it, but that's really what I thinkIt's not that I'm biased, but I guess that became a factor to my nonexistent interest for this group?  The chances of them getting back together is like 0.1%. I don't expect much, heartbreaking, but life goes on. I'm a practical person, so I do listen to all the tracks of their mini album before judging them. Let's talk about Track No. 2 in their mini album MAMA. Although What is Love is a pretty good song, I feel as though it would've or should've been a song for SHINee. Just imagine Jong Hyun singing it, how perfect it would sound plus Onew's melodious voice. Same goes for Track No. 3, History. If it were SHINee's, I'll just forget Sherlock ever happened. Do I even have to include the rest of the tracks? While listening to the album all I can think about was: Ahhhhh, what is this? It's like they're singing songs meant to be for other SM artists. What did they do, pick out songs that's supposed to be another artist's song and gave it to EXO?! As of now I think they haven't exactly found their own thing parting them from their SM seniors in terms of musicality, but hopefully they would.

EXO-K VS. EXO-M. Two subgroups, two different feels. To be honest, it's pretty easy to compare them since they're singing and dancing to the same songs. In my opinion, EXO-M came out much stronger than EXO-K. Why? Watching their own versions of MAMA, EXO-M's dance had more fluid transitions and somewhat smoother moves. There was that pop, and there was that flow. Compared to EXO-K's version which I thought was very lacking. Although I'll give props to Kai (?), the only one I think had the pop and the flow well he's a 2Minbebe so yeah go figure. It may be the fact that EXO-M's target market is in another country and they worked harder to beat the expectations of theirs or other reasons maybe.

I don't know, in the endless pool of K-Pop groups that have debuted, EXO didn't as much stick out to me. I might just actually blame the teasers they have put up. Again, I expected too much from it and got disappointed. Shame, shame, shame. I don't know, to me they're all just face. Enlighten me.

If you're an EXO fan, I deeply apologize.

Don't be hatin', I'm just sayin'.

I watch as the sun kisses the sky; it was 5 o'clock. The sky blushes an orange-pink, a tint of innocence. I begin to wonder if it was that simple. A love shared from two separate worlds. I shut my eyes for a second and reality starts to sink in. Time permits but time also forgets. Barbed

Hello, ddrei here. As you have probably noticed I have deleted most of my journal posts and have unfriended and unsubscribed to the communities I have been previously been following. I am in the process of reinventing this journal for the betterment of my forlorn soul. I want to be active more, so I thought that I won't restrict myself from writing what I really want. I'm starting from scratch again! This is my journal, anything you read that you don't like, well, that's not my problem. Please look forward to my mini series of journal entries: Unpopular Opinions. It may or may not affect your fandoms. That's just me being cautious (for the most part, I don't really care). I am not an evil person (which also may or may not be true), it depends really. I'm also thinking of posting Album and Artist reviews once in a while. Also, I am working on my Photography Portfolio / Journal. There isn't anything in it yet, but as soon as I get all my stuff good to go, I'll post it here as well. Although I know I'm talking to myself right now, I think it will all work out, one way or another. I'll be signing off.

Okay, okay. So it's almost September and we all know that the past few months are of epicness, yeah. But lately I've been looking for new stuff to listen to and have found a couple of great stuff. Here's a couple of bands you might give a try:

C.N. Blue. Cuteness of them aside, ㅋㅋㅋ, their music is really fresh to the ears. The lead vocal's voice has this thing that even though its kind of deep, I can't even explain it. All I can say is that I really like it and its the type of music I won't get tired of listening to. My personal favorite is Teardrops in the Rain, its in English and the lyrics are just... beautiful.

Bear Biscuit. I'm not really that into Chinese Music, but this will break barriers I guess. It has a combination of the type of English music I listen to and my fancy for Asian music in one. Its not too rock, not too punk, not too much of anything, but they have it all. Its rare to even get to hear that these days so I look forward to hearing more of their music. Their whole album 你要的我都有 is pure looooooooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeee.

A.Tract. And attract me they did. Their kind of rock is pleasing to listen to. The vocalist's voice is soothing and the instruments compliments that awesomeness giving you music that exudes greatness in itself. I'm dead serious, they're really that good!

That's three bands for today. Maybe next time I'll share more. There are so many new ones debuting, and I know we don't really get to listen to them that much. This is gonna be a past time since all the others I have my eyes on are either on break or on a concert.

Until the next time I update. This is `ddrei signing off.
